Oxfam

Oxfam is an International confederation with more than 70 years of experience mobilizing people and resources across the world to put an end to poverty. It is composed by 21 member organisations across the world working in over 90 countries. We reached more than 25 million people worldwide last year through our long-term development, advocacy and emergency programs, 54% of whom were women and girls. Climate change is threatening humankind and pushing people into poverty. While the climate crisis is affecting us all, it’s hitting some communities worse. It’s the people who’ve done the least to cause it who are suffering the most.

Oxfam has over 800 Shops across Europe (47 shops in Ireland and 30 shops in Belgium). Through our shops, we extend the life of clothing and other products from the public that would otherwise end up in landfill while providing sustainable solutions for brand & retailers excess stock. Besides, Oxfam's shops are a unique window to the general public and they connect Oxfam's campaigns with costumers; raising awareness around the climate impact of their behaviour as consumers.

In the CISUTAC consortium, Oxfam Belgium and Oxfam Ireland will:

  • Strengthen Second-hand September as a holistic multi-channel campaign with buy-in from Industry, government, and other stakeholders to own/influence in this space for Oxfam in Ireland & Belgium.

  • Manage the creation of a content plan and assets for a content calendar for use across Oxfam Ireland & Belgium's network of shops, both on and offline

  • Create digital spaces and interactive experiences for meaningful engagement around sustainability and circular economy across a range of digital platforms

  • Conduct digital research with online supporters and shoppers around habits and trends

  • Engage with over 1 million people across different activities – increased social media, donors, customers, physical shops & e-commerce

  • Provide regular impact reports to Cisutac particularly around consumers behavior
